Okay... so here goes.... I've decided to journal my way to fitness... or like in my title from "Fat..haha!!! I am the "Healthy Haole" which if your wonderin... "haole" in Hawaiian means white person or caucasian as opposed to our local folks here in Hawaii.. and I plan on journaling my journey to fabulous fitness...
Okay so things aren't really this BAD... but in my mind... looking at all the clothes I have that there is no way I can even put my leg in up to my knees... well let just say I can't continue on this way.... sooooo
As I continue my journey looking for interesting things to sink my teeth into that would recreate my health and fitness ..(seems like everything we do these days involve food or eating) I have prayed and searched for the best guidance for my fitness journey and developing a business where I can help others as well.. All my prayers seem to be answered .. "Diane, use whats in front of you!" soo am recreating myself through the company I have had in my mind all along.. BeachBody... and its been in right in front of me for quite sometime!... There are so many things to explore here..!!! Personally, I've really never had a problem with my weight... till about 7 years ago... and then I finally and really gave up.. :( Its really frustrating getting older and seeing your body literally change before your eyes...) but I know I can do this and finally feel excited to try clothes on and not develop and immediate rash when I open my bathing suit drawer..
So back to BeachBody... we also have a great product called Shakeology . Shakeology is a vitamin/protein drink that you drink each day as either a meal replacement or as a snack... but you should have it once a day. There are four great flavors... Chocolate, Greenberry, Tropical Strawberry (vegan) and new Vanilla!! .. the weird thing is that I really like the Greenberry best!!.. and if you don't look at it like a HAVE TO kind of thing and let it become a part of your daily routine.. you'll be AMAZED at your results... !!
I also have indulged in their Yoga Booty Ballet, Tai Cheng and last but not least HipHop Abs.. Shaun T... well lets just say he makes the workout quick!!
I have always been involved with dance, martial arts, and yoga and really enjoy these workouts..!!! So much fun!!
My biggest obstacle has ALWAYS been self discipline.. I guess since I really never had to worry about "staying fit" .. all my normal activities kept me in great shape.. now I must get back into a really healthy way of life... and thats really the truth. It really has to be a WAY OF LIFE... and a change in your lifestyle. I think that this is the most difficult concept to grasp.
I have a really great friend that ALWAYS encourages me... and gives me pep talks, positive texts with ways to add exercise to my daily life. I am so grateful to her for her continued positive influence in my life... She is a true testimony to discipline and health... even after having twins... and looking like she just had a big meal when she was ready to deliver. !! She never wavers .. and always stays on her path!! I am secretly jealous... but so glad she and I have become great friends... I love you LT!!! You're the best..
