So here it is !!!  I have been invited to run/walk the Honolulu Marathon... December 2013... !!!  Yea, okay .. you can stop laughing now.. !!  Let me explain.  While yes, I understand your laughter and skepticism... and I know when I tell my family ... they're gonna think I'm nuts !!  I am pretty much out of shape.. but have been really working towards the "best shape I can be in" even with my uncooperative knees... but you know what... I never thought in a million years I would have a 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo either.. but I did it!!  So I'm going to do my research.. and really actually consider this.  I really need a goal ... to work towards.  


So I think I just might try this... !!!  I am going to record my thoughts, trials and tribulations.. through this blog.!!  Everything healthy here, you know.. at "Healthy Haole!!"  maybe I should change this to "Crazy Haole!!" Lol!!  

Now for the mental and physical preparation, but most importantly.. PRAYER and LOTS OF IT!!  They say its all about being consistent which... well.. lets just say its not my strong suit.. :( RIGHT NOW..

I am convinced that consistency and focus in our lives are probably the two most important qualities to posses.. and if we are not already pretty strong in these areas... I've found that we better make it a point to do so.. ya know what I mean??    I guess this would also fall under the same category as discipline, no??  So, as with raising children... getting and then keeping in shape also follows along completely with this topic of conversation of being consistent, focus and discipline.. There are so many things sooo very intriguing and interesting it makes things so very difficult to stay on track.. But one thing about me I am very stubborn and I really need to use that quality to my advantage FOR SURE! Wish me luck!!!
